About The Position

The Order Fulfillment Associate is responsible for accurately and safely preparing Will Call orders for customer pickup. This position serves as the face of Porter Pipe when servicing customers, requiring strong attention to detail, reliability, and a ridiculously good, service-oriented mindset. This role supports daily warehouse operations by stocking the showroom and assisting with end-of-day cleanup. The Order Fulfillment Associate provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers and demonstrates strict confidentiality with all team members while serving as an ambassador of our culture.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of pipe/tube fabrication up to 4” in diameter.
  • Experience using warehouse software systems (TWL or CSD preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively build rapport with both internal and external customers.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to communicate in English regarding the essential functions of the position.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires visual, hearing and speech acuity.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures and elements, noise, and fumes.
  • Ability to use hands to operate office equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers ridiculously good customer service as the face of Porter Pipe in each customer interaction.
  • Accurately picks, packs, and tags Will Call orders
  • Cuts, threads, and grooves pipe to meet fabrication needs.
  • Loads products onto customer vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Operates warehouse equipment, including an order picker, pallet jack, or forklift to locate supplies and equipment; may also operate a shrink wrap machine.
  • Assists with end-of-day duties, including but not limited to, Will Call clean up, loading dock, maintenance, and showroom stocking.
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, while contributing to continuous quality improvement efforts.
  • Adheres to all Company safety rules, standards, and guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
