Warehouse/Distribution: FT Order Filler/Associate/Fulfillment
About The Position
This position involves efficiently and accurately pulling items according to customer orders within a warehouse/distribution setting. Key tasks include locating products, identifying proper quantities, pulling products, and transporting them to checking stations. The role requires basic computer navigation skills and the use of voice picking and RF scanning equipment. Adherence to stockroom housekeeping policies and all safety rules, including those for hazardous materials, is essential. The successful candidate must maintain accuracy and good speed in repetitive routines.
Requirements
- Must be functionally literate and capable of understanding and recognizing product numbers and line codes to insure proper retrieval of products for shipment, including identifying sequence of numbers and letters accurately and rapidly
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to write legibly
- Ability to successfully communicate with the voice picking system
- Ability to adapt to understanding the voice system’s commands, as well as adapting your speech so that the voice system can understand your input
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
- Occasional use of a forklift – Certification is also required

Responsibilities
- Pull all orders for the customer according to the prescribed picking quota as set by management
- Go to the shelf where the product is located; identify the proper product and quantity, pull the product, and transport the product to the checking station
- Basic navigation on the computer
- Use of voice picking and RF scanning equipment
- Adherence to the Stockroom Housekeeping Policy of facility and specific product line area
- Maintain accuracy in repetitive routine while maintaining good speed
- Follow and adhere to all safety rules including the handling of hazardous materials
