About The Position

The position involves performing orbital welding on stainless steel (SST) and aluminum vacuum fittings ranging from one-eighth to one-half inch. The role requires mechanical inclination, visual acuity, and manual dexterity, as well as the ability to handle fragile products and perform repetitive tasks while demonstrating safety awareness. Experience with Mini Head welding is a plus. The candidate will proficiently use all approved hand gauges to inspect component quality at the work center and must be able to exercise discretion and independent judgment. Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. The candidate must also be able to read and comprehend technical drawings, correspondence, and documents, as well as perform basic mathematical operations. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for interaction with supervisors, leads, and peers. A basic understanding of mechanics, flow control elements, and MRP concepts is also required.

Requirements

  • 3-4+ years of manufacturing or related work experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing or related work experience.
  • A.A. degree or equivalent experience, or any combination of education and experience.
  • Vocational or technical training or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Mini Head welding experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform orbital welding on SST and aluminum vacuum fittings.
  • Conduct mechanical set-ups and changeovers for Swagelok welding machines.
  • Operate orbital welding equipment and systems safely.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas and follow safety guidelines.
  • Prioritize work to meet production schedules and commitments.
  • Work from schedules, shop orders, established procedures, blueprints, and product specifications.
  • Fit, align, and precisely orbital weld products to meet specifications and workmanship standards.
  • Identify deviations that may interrupt productivity.
  • Maintain logs and necessary documentation.
  • Train less skilled technicians and operators as needed.
  • Measure and verify dimensions using inspection tooling.
  • Complete routing and process planning as necessary.
  • Demonstrate ability to process and inspect first pieces according to prints.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to develop advanced welding processes.
  • Assist team members in maintaining departmental quality and delivery goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • Hourly pay range of $29.18 - $49.62/hr, nonexempt.
  • Salary determined by role, level, and location, with individual pay based on knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
