Requirements

  • Active Registered Dental Assistant License
  • Current CPR certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of specific oral surgery experience
  • Proven ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and motivate staff. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are essential
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with the oral surgeon, staff, and patients
  • Must be willing to travel within assigned areas

Responsibilities

  • Lead and guide the oral surgery dental assistant team, ensuring clinical tasks are completed accurately and efficiently throughout the day.
  • Support the Oral Surgeon during advanced oral surgery procedures.
  • Master and utilize specialized surgical instruments and advanced technology.
  • Coordinate patient care and scheduling, helping maintain a smooth and timely surgical workflow.
  • Mentor and train oral surgery dental assistants, ensuring team members are confident, compliant, and equipped to deliver consistent, high-quality care.
  • Manage and maintain the inventory of surgical supplies and equipment, ensuring the office is always well-stocked and ready for procedures.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and record keeping, supporting continuity of care and operational excellence.
  • Foster a collaborative and professional team culture, encouraging communication, accountability, and ongoing development in surgical care.
  • Greeting guests with a smile
  • Assisting Oral Surgeons with procedures
  • Sterilizing instruments and setting up trays
  • Preparing treatment rooms
  • Assisting with conscious and iv sedation
  • Performing X-rays
  • Charting existing and recommended treatments
  • Performing other duties as required to support the office and oral surgery team
