We are partnering with a specialty oral surgery practice to hire a motivated Oral Surgery Dental Assistant / Surgical Assistant. Requirements

  • Dental Assistant certification or surgical technologist/medical clinical background
  • Willingness to learn oral surgery procedures and dental workflows
  • X-ray certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • CPR/BLS required; ACLS required (in-house training and support provided)
  • Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced surgical environment
  • Professional, calm, and compassionate chairside manner

Nice To Haves

  • Prior oral surgery experience is helpful

Responsibilities

  • Assist the oral surgeon during procedures including extractions, implants, bone grafting, and IV sedation
  • Prepare and maintain sterile surgical setups and instruments
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures (including vital signs)
  • Take and process dental X-rays and CBCT scans (training provided if needed)
  • Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care instructions
  • Maintain accurate charts and surgical documentation
  • Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control protocols
