Oral Surgery Assistant
About The Position
Nu Image Surgical and Implant Center is seeking a reliable and motivated Clinical Assistant to join our oral surgery team in Cary. This role supports the oral surgeon and clinical staff by assisting with patient care, maintaining a safe and efficient clinical environment, and ensuring a positive patient experience throughout the surgical process. Schedule: Tuesday through Friday, 6:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional travel to other Nu Image locations may be required based on operational needs. Requirements
- Previous dental or oral surgery assisting experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to other practice locations when needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and move clinical supplies and equipment when necessary
- Manual dexterity to assist during surgical procedures
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist the oral surgeon during surgical procedures and patient care appointments
- Prepare treatment rooms and surgical instruments prior to procedures
- Ensure all equipment and materials are properly sterilized and organized
- Take and record patient vitals and assist with patient preparation for procedures
- Provide post operative instructions to patients as directed by the surgeon
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Follow infection control and sterilization protocols in accordance with practice policies and OSHA standards
- Support efficient patient flow and assist with room turnover between patients
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment
- Assist with inventory management and supply stocking as needed
- Travel to other practice locations when necessary to support clinical operations
