Requirements

  • X-Ray Certification (Required)
  • Basic CPR Certification (Required)
  • Excellent communication, organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

Nice To Haves

  • Dental Assistant Certification (Preferred)
  • Prior experience assisting in oral surgery or anesthesia procedures highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist the doctor during oral and maxillofacial procedures, seat patients and record vitals.
  • Maintain competency in anesthesia monitoring and surgical setup, ensuring all treatment plans and consent forms are accurately completed.
  • Support implant and extraction procedures with precision and efficiency.
  • Deliver clear, compassionate pre-op and post-op instructions.
  • Coordinate medical clearances and maintain strong follow-up communication with patients.
  • Promote patient comfort and confidence throughout the surgical experience.
  • Adhere to OSHA and office safety protocols, including radiation protection standards.
  • Capture high-quality radiographs with correct exposure and anatomical positioning.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records and charts.
  • Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring readiness for each procedure.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with doctors, patients and team members.
  • Handle challenges with professionalism, contributing to a supportive team culture.
  • Protect patient and practice confidentiality at all times.
  • Uphold high ethical and professional standards in all interactions.
  • Take initiative on special projects and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
