About The Position

The Oral Surgery Assistant position is a full-time role within a multi-doctor Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery private practice. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and enthusiastic, with a strong focus on patient relations and customer service. This entry-level position offers training for individuals aspiring to become certified surgical assistants, with opportunities for continuing education support.

Requirements

• BLS certification is required to begin.
• X-Ray certification is required to begin.
• Punctuality and a willingness to learn are essential.
• Ability to work standing for 8 to 10 hour shifts.
• Strong interpersonal skills to get along with others.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures and patient care during surgeries.
• Maintain a sterile environment and ensure all instruments are prepared and available for procedures.
• Provide excellent patient relations and customer service before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Follow through on tasks and ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
• Participate in continuing education and training to achieve certifications such as EFDA, DAANCE, and IV Sedation.
