14341 - Senior Oracle Database Engineer (onsite) – Miami, FL Start Date: ASAP Type: Temporary Project Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client. Required: Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Miami, FL (required); Experience with installing, configuring, administering, upgrading, and performing disaster recovery for Oracle and PostgreSQL databases in on-premise environments (5+ years) Experience with Oracle internals, including SYS views, system tables, locking, consistency, serialization, and performance tuning Experience with SQL tuning, database performance analysis, and configuration optimization Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager for monitoring and management Experience with systems engineering and OS administration on AIX/Linux, including performance, memory, I/O tuning, security, clustering, and troubleshooting Experience with scripting using shell and at least one language such as Python, Perl, TCL, or PowerShell, including use in DevOps and CI/CD contexts Preferred: Experience with SAP Oracle DBA Experience in database engineering, administration, or management roles (5+ years) Responsibilities : Design, implement, maintain, and monitor Oracle and PostgreSQL databases supporting critical operational systems. Develop, document, and implement database guidelines, standards, procedures, and dictionaries. Integrate systems through database design and support operational efficiencies in existing technical infrastructure and business processes. Work directly with customers and application vendors to resolve database, systems, and infrastructure issues and provide architecture leadership. Design and develop solutions to improve and enhance database operational processes and reliability. Provide technical leadership, mentor internal customers and teammates on database platforms, and participate in rotational support and development activities. Why apply?
