As the Senior Project Manager for the Ancillary Portfolio, you will be a key project leader responsible for driving a portfolio of critical initiatives to completion within a large-scale Oracle Health (Cerner) Millennium EHR implementation. In this role, you will be accountable for the entire project lifecycle—from planning and execution to risk management and stakeholder communication—for all assigned projects. You will ensure that clinical and ancillary projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with program objectives managing multiple projects concurrently, spanning various clinical and ancillary domains (e.g., Lab, Radiology, Pharmacy, Core Clinical). You will be responsible for developing detailed project schedules, facilitating cross-functional teams, and providing clear, concise status updates to executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA) or equivalent experience are valued
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of dedicated project management experience, with a significant focus on healthcare IT or clinical system implementations
  • Oracle Health/Cerner Expertise: An advanced understanding of the Oracle Health (Cerner) platform and its clinical/ancillary solutions (e.g., PowerChart, RadNet, PharmNet, PathNet) is required to manage projects effectively
  • Mastery of project management methodologies and tools is essential. PMP certification is required
  • Proven experience with MS Project or similar enterprise scheduling software is necessary
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate and demonstrate the Oracle Health solutions to client audiences
  • The ability to travel is an essential function of this role and may vary based on client, enterprise or project needs, with up to 20% travel to client sites nationwide
  • Candidates must comply with applicable client requirements, such as immunization and occupational health mandates
  • US Citizenship required

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary project management lead for all assigned clinical and ancillary projects, managing relationships with business owners, technical teams, and vendor partners
  • Prepare and brief comprehensive project updates to executive leadership in large, formal forums
  • Lead and facilitate project meetings, ensuring stakeholder coordination, clear communication, and productive outcomes
  • Develop, maintain, and track multiple, complex project schedules in collaboration with enterprise schedulers, ensuring all dependencies are managed
  • Proactively identify, document, and escalate project risks and issues, driving them to resolution according to established program processes
  • Drive projects to completion by diligently tracking action items, managing scope, and holding team members accountable for deliverables
  • Utilize portfolio tracking tools to generate and distribute recurring and ad-hoc project reports for various audiences.
  • Ensure all project documentation is meticulously maintained, including meeting agendas, minutes, action logs, and decision registers
