About The Position

PlanIT Group is seeking an Oracle EBS Developer for our Federal customer in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will support application and system development, maintenance, and overall technical support as required. The contractor must enhance and support these production applications and create new applications as the need arises. The work must be performed according to US Government policies based on the Software Delivery Framework and secure coding practices. The contractor must enhance and support these production applications and create new applications as the need arises.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience developing objects and code in Oracle eBusiness Suite 12.2.9 - Financials preferred.
  • Experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in implementing modules relating to Oracle eBusiness Suite, Financials - Purchasing(PO), Accounts Receivables(AR), Accounts Payables(AP), Fixed Assets (FA), Project Accounting (PA) and General Ledger(GL).
  • Strong implementation background and ability to solution complex business requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of payment processes and methods including EFT and NACHA requirements.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes and management tools (preferably VersionOne) and IT Service Management Systems (preferably ServiceNow).
  • Expert in Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Knowledge of Kafka Queues, APIs, and Flat File processing.

Nice To Haves

  • A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Experience training/mentoring less experienced personnel.
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with designing, implementing, operating, and administering relational DBMSs.
  • Development/support experience with more than one DBMS product (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Extensive experience producing database-related documentation such as administration policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Support application and system development, maintenance, and overall technical support.
  • Enhance and support production applications.
  • Create new applications as needed.
  • Work flexible hours based on USPS management needs, including nights, weekends, or holidays.
  • Provide configuration documents and update configuration diagrams and other documentation.
  • Utilize an iterative development methodology and attend Agile ceremonies.
  • Provide on-call and after hours support as required.
  • Work with customers/end users to ensure needs are met.
