About The Position

The Oracle eBusiness Suite Functional SME position is an 8-month contract role located onsite in Washington, DC. Candidates must reside in the Greater Washington, DC area. The role requires a Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) with experience in implementing modules related to Oracle eBusiness Suite, particularly in Financials including Purchasing (PO), Accounts Receivables (AR), Accounts Payables (AP), Fixed Assets (FA), Project Accounting (PA), and General Ledger (GL). The contractor will support Finance & Payment Technology Services for application and system development, maintenance, and overall technical support as required. The work must be performed according to USPS policies based on the Software Delivery Framework and secure coding practices.

Requirements

• Experience as a Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) in implementing Oracle eBusiness Suite modules.
• Strong implementation background and ability to learn complex accounting processes.
• In-depth knowledge of payment processes and methods including EFT and NACHA requirements.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes and management tools (preferably VersionOne).
• Expert in Oracle PL/SQL.
• Minimum of 5-7 years' experience developing objects and code in Oracle eBusiness Suite 12.2.9 - Financials.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of configuration documents.
• Expert knowledge in Accounting.
• Ability to update configuration diagrams and other documentation.

Responsibilities

• Work flexible hours based on the needs of USPS management, including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.
• Enhance and support production applications and create new applications as required.
• Utilize an iterative development methodology and attend Agile ceremonies for all work done under this contract.
• Acquire thorough knowledge of assigned systems and understand USPS business processes.
• Provide on-call and after-hours support as required to support production systems.
• Work effectively and proactively with customers/end users to ensure needs are met.
