Kforce has a client that is seeking an Oracle DBA in Westlake, TX. The Oracle DBA will perform various database administration tasks including installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching. This role involves reviewing SQL code, optimizing queries, and supporting application development teams with performance tuning and physical data modeling. The DBA will manage multi-site database replication using Oracle GoldenGate and provide support for cloud-based database platforms in Linux environments. Additionally, the DBA will participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for production support, maintenance, and incident resolution. Collaboration with system administrators, cybersecurity, and capacity planning teams is essential. The Oracle DBA will also develop and maintain database monitoring scripts using PL/SQL and Linux shell scripting, establish and enforce database standards for operations, migrations, and onboarding new applications, and contribute to DevSecOps initiatives and data masking strategies. Support for Agile development teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is also a key responsibility.
