The position involves installing, configuring, and maintaining Oracle database instances across all versions, including 11g, 12c, and 19c. The role requires performing routine database monitoring, which includes performance tuning and query optimization. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for configuring and managing Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Data Guard, and RMAN. Implementing and managing backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies using RMAN is also a key responsibility. The candidate will troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance degradation, corruption, and outages, while managing Oracle database security aspects such as user roles, privileges, encryption, and auditing. The role also includes performing database migrations, upgrades, and patching with minimal downtime, as well as automating administrative tasks using Oracle scripts (PL/SQL, Bash, Perl). Monitoring capacity planning, storage, and system resources is essential, and collaboration with application developers to enhance database performance and scalability is expected.
