About The Position

Under general supervision, to provide technical services, create and maintain an aseptic environment in compliance with the standards of the department

Requirements

• Completion of high school or equivalent. Associate Degree in the medical field preferred or specialized vocational training.
• Six months to one year experience preferred in a surgical setting in a surgical facility or from Armed Service.
• BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of Hospital established policies quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of Surgical instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment
• Knowledge of Pre-operative planning and aseptic technique.
• Ability to Organize and prepare appropriate instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment.
• Ability to Identify the surgical instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment
• Ability to Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Nice To Haves
