About The Position
Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Travel OR Tech for a 12-week assignment in a fast-paced perioperative/operating room setting in Redding, CA. This role involves joining a high-performing surgical tech team with the shared goal of providing exceptional, compassionate care. Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014
- Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred)
- Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties, (i.e., GYN, General and Plastics)
- Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (i.e., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro. Etc.)
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum one (1) year of OR Tech experience required
Responsibilities
- Prepares and organizes sterile supplies and instruments for assigned surgical procedures
- Maintains the sterile field throughout each case
- Assists the surgeon by anticipating needs and handing sterile instruments and supplies during procedures
