About The Position

The surgical technologist, under the guidance of the registered nurse, is responsible for the care and safety of patients under his/her care. The ST is responsible for case preparation, assisting with patient preparation, proper handling of instruments and equipment, preparation of the sterile field based upon the specific procedure and surgeon's preference, and anticipating the surgeon's needs. 'Certification requirement is only for those individuals hired after December 29, 2020'

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology (Required)
• BLS - Basic Life Support (Required)
• CST - Cert Surgical Tech (Required) or CORT - Cert Operating Room Tech (Required)

Nice To Haves

• 1 Year experience in an operating room (Preferred)
