About The Position

Summit Surgical Center in Fresno, CA is hiring a PRN- OR Surgical Tech. We believe health and care are inseparable. Summit Surgical specializes in Orthopedics, Pain Management, Oculoplastic, and Podiatry. Summit Surgical is a fast-paced, multi-specialty Surgery Center committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification as required by state and/or center.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team.
• Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to surgical procedures.
• Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center.
• Participates in quality improvement activities.
