About The Position

The Operating Room Supply Chain Supervisor provides supervision of the daily operations in the OR Supply Chain Management department for the inventory control of medical supplies unique to the Operating Room. This supervisor maintains compliance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures, accreditation and OSHA standards and infection control and sterile environment standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years in a progressively more responsible material management and inventory role.
• Minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory or lead position in inventory control, distribution and disposition of goods and services, or other relevant area.
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with a personal computer, Microsoft applications including Excel and PowerPoint, e-mail, etc.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, lead, direct and guide the staff in daily operations of the Department.
• Supervise and coordinate multitude of activities of par carts, equipment and medical and surgical supplies.
• Communicate effectively in writing and orally and enforce Department/hospital policies and procedures.
• Will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of four areas of surgical services 24/7.
