About The Position

The OR Materials Manager at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is responsible for leading and managing supply chain activities within the operating room and surgical services. This role focuses on inventory management, ensuring clinical integration, and collaborating with various stakeholders to optimize supply chain processes and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• Graduate from Surgical Technology Program and/or equivalent clinical training is preferred.
• Specific Operating Room/Surgical Services experience is preferred.
• 3 Years leadership experience and/or AD program graduate preferred.
• Demonstrated passion for building a clinically integrated supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Lead, implement, measure, and direct supply chain activities within the operating room/surgical services.
• Support OR operations through inventory management and collaboration with clinical surgical services team members.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of items built in the Materials Management Information Systems.
• Prepare the schedule for onsite OR Supply Chain Operations to meet clinical scheduling needs.
• Manage daily Supply Chain Clinical Integration within the OR, including ordering and restocking supplies.
• Optimize replenishment processes for all OR inventory areas managed by Supply Chain.
• Manage the Tissue Tracker system, including vendor certifications, recalls, and quarterly inventory verification.
• Oversee expiration dates for all supplies in the Operating Room.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on OR Supply Cost Management projects.
• Serve as the OR point of contact for sales representatives.
