About The Position

This position coordinates the surgical service specific technology and creates a positive and efficient culture of service to the physicians and team members.

Requirements

• 3 years experience in clinical OR RN.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operations and quality improvement for specialty Program.
• Manage surgery schedule and communicate with scheduling offices for changes.
• Provide clear and concise information to ensure procedures are posted correctly.
• Create, update, and revise procedure cards for accurate supply lists.
• Order and maintain inventory of service line instruments and accessories.
• Work with Surgical Services Administrative Support Supervisor/Manager for new item requests.
• Meet and welcome new physicians to service with organized methodology.
• Maintain and update OR/Hospital protocols related to ophthalmology surgery.
• Serve as OR Specialty liaison between the hospital and physicians.
• Meet the orientation, continuing educational needs, and competency development of nursing/tech personnel.
• Provide clinical practice leadership to foster patient safety and an excellent patient experience.
• Collaborate with business manager to meet and maintain department quality metrics.
• Assist with planning and carrying out special hospital and community programs.
• Plan, organize, and attend quarterly/annual service line Committee Meetings.
