About The Position

We're looking for a dedicated OR Circulator Nurse to join our team on a per-diem (PRN) basis. The OR Circulator plays a key role in supporting safe, efficient surgical procedures by coordinating all aspects of patient care before, during, and after surgery. This position is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working as part of a collaborative surgical team. At USPI, we create relationships that lead to better care. Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required (or obtained within 90 days of hire)
  • Minimum 1 year of OR Circulator experience preferred; ASC experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, aseptic principles, and perioperative nursing standards
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
  • Skilled in intraoperative patient monitoring and documentation
  • Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and adapt quickly to changing situations
  • Proficient in using surgical equipment and maintaining aseptic standards
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across all clinical roles
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an OR Circulator RN (ASC experience preferred)
  • Prior experience supporting multiple surgical specialties
  • Demonstrated ability to provide safe, efficient, and compassionate perioperative care

  • ASC experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Circulate for a variety of surgical cases while ensuring patient safety and adherence to aseptic techniques
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical technologists to anticipate patient and procedural needs
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of intraoperative care
  • Verify surgical supplies and equipment are prepared and functional prior to each procedure
  • Support infection control, safety, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and act as a patient advocate throughout the surgical experience
