Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays as needed Radiology Tech Operating Room at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Las Colinas: · Performs quality diagnostic procedures accurately and in a timely manner in surgery for Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Las Colinas.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Graduate of AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
Current & Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (ARRT) Certificate
Current BLS certification
Two to five years' experience specific to surgical radiological exam
Ortho and Spine experience required
Demonstrates responsibility for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients
Demonstrates ability to assess data, prioritize care, and plan interventions dependent on the age group of the population served.
Demonstrates ability to discuss treatment/service and to provide education information to patients/families in age group served
Ability to utilize Electronic Healthcare Record for patient documentation.

Responsibilities

The OR Radiology Technician operates X-ray equipment, C-ARMS and prepares patient's room, equipment, and supplies.
Provides patient services using imaging modalities.
Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams preformed.
Performs all Quality control checks, as prescribed.
Maintains accurate QC logs, service records, etc.
Performs highest quality imaging consistent with prescribed examination: documents and deviation
Practices surgical aseptic procedures
Investigates promptly and follows up on unusual incidents and communicates with Direct
Takes emergency call as assigned
