Opportunity Overview We have an immediate opening for a Per Diem OR/PACU RN to join our team at Ovation Fertility in Nashville, Tennessee. Schedule: On call/as needed weekdays with 1 weekend per month and 1 holiday per year. This role provides the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support every day.

Requirements

  • Active RN license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • 2-3 years of clinical experience in Operating, Procedure Room or PACU required
  • Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
  • Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
  • Ability to communicate accurately and concisely

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced assessment skills to formulate patient care plans and identify patient care problems
  • Perform initial preoperative assessment, develop a plan of care, and explain the subsequent phases of surgery
  • Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
  • Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
  • Provide patient education
  • Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
