Opportunity Overview We have an immediate opening for an OR/PACU Medical Assistant to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Orlando, Florida . Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 5:45 AM to 2:15 PM with rotating weekends and holidays This role provides the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support every day.

Requirements

Must have completed formal MA education/certification
Prior experience in an OR/Ambulatory Surgical setting
Experience in women's health (e.g., OB/GYN) is required
Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
Professionalism and strong customer service skills a must

Nice To Haves

Infertility/IVF experience is preferred
Phlebotomy skills are preferred

Responsibilities

Assist as scrub technician in the OR
Properly apply sterile and aseptic technique for set up/use of equipment
Prepare rooms for all procedures while ensuring necessary instruments, supplies and equipment are available
Use technical skill in the care and use of instruments, supplies and equipment used during a surgical procedure
Conduct proper sanitary maintenance of equipment according to OSHA guidelines
Use an autoclave and clean per protocol
Provide ultrasound guidance under physician’s supervision during transfers
Comfort patients by anticipating anxieties, answering questions, providing support
