About The Position

The OR Nurse Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for Surgical Services, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care delivery. This role oversees daily department operations, staffing, quality outcomes, and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. The Manager is responsible for fostering a collaborative culture, enhancing clinical excellence, and supporting department growth initiatives.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma (required)
• Active RN license (Tennessee or Compact State)
• Minimum 1 year of related clinical experience
• Prior clinical leadership experience required (Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Lead experience considered)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead and operationalize evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and clinical outcomes
• Oversee daily workflow, staffing plans, and personnel management
• Interview, hire, onboard, and develop clinical staff
• Provide hands-on leadership and clinical support as needed
• Ensure compliance with department-specific standards of care
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels to support patient care needs
• Manage safety initiatives, operational goals, and departmental performance
• Address patient, physician, and visitor concerns professionally and promptly
• Provide coaching, counseling, and performance management
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary leaders to improve surgical care delivery
