About The Position

The Operating Room (OR) Manager will be responsible for the oversight of day-to-day operations throughout the department and will oversee approximately 90+ FTEs. Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services, the OR Manager will oversee approximately 13 ORs composed of multiple specialties, including spine and neuro, and will collaborate closely with the Preop, PACU, and Endoscopy Manager to ensure that all departmental initiatives are properly aligned. The OR Manager is responsible for evaluating staff competencies, department policies, and procedures to ensure the best practices are in place while enforcing a high level of accountability throughout the department. This leader will examine current processes and models of care, conduct analysis to determine areas needing improvement, and improve quality and safety metrics. Seeking a hands-on leader to establish credibility with surgeons and staff members while also assisting with mentoring and coaching staff, patient-focused culture, and building collaborative relationships within the department. This leader must bring excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills to optimize departmental performance while achieving both short-and-long-term goals. In addition, this leader will ideally bring extensive clinical, leadership, and high acuity experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Active RN license is required.
  • A minimum of three years of nursing experience in a related setting is required.
  • A minimum of one year of leadership experience is required.
