About The Position

The Clinical Manager is responsible and accountable for the delivery of safe, effective, direct and indirect, patient-family centered care through the continuum of perioperative care including but not limited to outpatient surgery, operating room and sterile processing and anesthesia services. The Clinical Manager functions as a resource person for staff members and provides necessary education, training, competency validation, and performance reviews of individual members of the nursing staff. Assumes responsibility for the overall quality of nursing care provided by specified units. Makes decisions regarding patient care activities in area of responsibility. The Clinical Manager is responsible for the oversight of the departmental budget and management of staff. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION Bachelor Degree preferred or equivalent experience, education and training. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE Minimum of 5 years nursing practice with emphasis on leadership & management experience. Minimum of 3 years nursing management, preferably in a Perioperative care setting. RECQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS Current license as Registered Nurse in Texas. Certified in Basic Life Support required. ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES Excellent interpersonal skills; computer skills; basic finance knowledge and basic typing skills. Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree preferred or equivalent experience, education and training.
