Organization: Radiology OR Job Summary: JOB SUMMARY: Performs various roles involved in interventional imaging procedures. These roles are performed in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services are delivered. . POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: $10,000 sign on bonus. Relocation stipend. Fulltime | 3 12-hour shifts per week | Wed./Thu./Fri. Industry competitive rates. Shift differentials are available. The sign-on bonus and relocation stipend are not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past twelve months. The sign-on bonus and relocation stipend are only available for full-time positions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate and cost effective imaging. Applies broad range of skills to ensure exam is completed timely and meets quality and compliance standards. Provides appropriate radiation protection to patient, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards. May be designated as an interim shift lead in the absence of the Radiology Technologist Team Lead. Assists in the orientation and training of new staff. TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES: Anatomy & Physiology Knowledge (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of anatomy and physiology knowledge in practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering results without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to train and educate by setting the example, giving instruction, providing leadership, and generally raising the level of performance of others while on the job. Radiology (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of radiology services in practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering results without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to train and educate by setting the example, giving instruction, providing leadership, and generally raising the level of performance of others while on the job. Patient Documentation (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of patient documentation in practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering patient documentation services without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to train and educate by setting the example, giving technical instruction, providing leadership, and generally raising the level of performance of others while on the job. People Management (Fundamental Awareness): Understands the need for motivation, job satisfaction, performance feedback and communication. Demonstrates the ability to work well with others and build effective relationships. Distributes work assignments fairly, clearly defining tasks, roles and responsibilities. Establishes a positive work environment. Keeps people focused on the "big picture" and motivates them to perform at a high level. Compliance (Intermediate): Demonstrates knowledge of the appropriate rules and regulations and apply them in difficult, stressful and complex situations. Able to interpret and explain rules and regulations that are ambiguous or unclear. Directs others in interpreting rules and regulations on the job and trains others in them. Requirements

  • LIC-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Licensure-Others
  • Relevant Work Experience Experience Level : 1 year
  • Graduate of an approved discipline specific program (Required)
