About The Position

Conroe Surgery Center is a fast-paced ambulatory surgical center (ASC) committed to delivering the highest quality care and patient experience. Our dedicated team provides exceptional surgical services in a supportive and professional environment. We are seeking a motivated OR Registered Nurse to join our team and contribute to our mission of excellence in outpatient surgical care. The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care and service during surgical procedures. This role involves positioning and prepping the patient, circulating cases, and ensuring a smooth and safe surgical environment. The ideal candidate will have previous OR experience and be comfortable working across a variety of surgical specialties, including Orthopedics, ENT, General Surgery, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, and Urology.

Requirements

  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Proficient in circulating and prepping for a variety of surgical procedures
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and charting skills
  • Ability to maintain patient safety, privacy, and comfort
  • Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of infection control and sterile techniques
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN)
  • Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of Texas
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience
  • Experience across multiple specialties preferred (e.g., Orthopedics, ENT, General Surgery, GI, etc.)
  • Familiarity with outpatient/ambulatory surgery center protocols is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in the surgical setting
  • Assist in positioning, prepping, and circulating during surgical cases
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to maintain a seamless workflow
  • Monitor patient conditions and communicate concerns effectively
  • Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures and patient care
  • Support patient education and post-operative care instructions
