About The Position

The OR Circulating Registered Nurse at Kindred Hospital San Francisco Bay Area is responsible for providing quality patient care to critically ill patients through the nursing process. This role involves assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, while serving as a patient advocate and supervising nursing care provided by other caregivers. The nurse will develop and implement nursing care plans, ensure patient education, and participate in discharge planning, all while maintaining high standards of nursing care in accordance with hospital policies.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse.
• BCLS certification and ACLS certification required.
• Minimum one year of training and experience in Critical Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care to critically ill patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Serve as a patient advocate at all times.
• Supervise nursing care provided to each patient by other caregivers.
• Develop nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Apply critical thinking to promote positive clinical outcomes.
• Ensure patient education and participate in discharge planning.
• Assess patients on admission and make referrals to other disciplines as needed.
• Document patient assessments, care plans, and other pertinent information in the electronic medical record.
• Demonstrate correct use of biomedical equipment and ensure safe delivery of patient care.
• Administer medications and recognize changes in patient conditions, responding appropriately.
• Assist physicians with special tests and procedures, and participate in the orientation of new personnel.
