Optometry Technician I - Temp
About The Position
Gardner Health Services is currently recruiting to fill a Temporary Optometry Technician I position. This is a temporary, 40 hour/week position based out of the South County Health Center located in Gilroy, CA .The Optometry Technician I reports to the Optometry Director and is under the general supervision of the Technician II. The Technician I assists the Optometrist and performs various professional and paraprofessional functions involving patient care.. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is very important.
Requirements
- One year optometry training leading to certification or two (2) years’ experience performing duties similar to Optometry Technician I.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish preferred.
- Interact in a courteous helpful manner with patients, clients and staff and to work effectively with a diverse population in a teamwork environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology used in optometry.
