Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) Degree
• Current CA Optometric License
• Current DEA Certification

Responsibilities

• Practice to the full extent of your license and offer a wide variety of services including completing eye exams for glasses and contacts
• Diagnosing and treating eye diseases and abnormalities
• Conducting and evaluating diagnostic testing
• Removing foreign bodies from the eye
• Writing prescriptions
• Counseling patients and other health professionals on eye health issues
• Communicating with doctors, staff, and patients
