About The Position

This position is for an Optometrist within the Federal service, specifically targeting locations in North and South Dakota. Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited educational program.
• Passing score on the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO) examinations.
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice optometry in a relevant jurisdiction.
• For GS-12 level, completion of a residency program or one year of professional experience as an optometrist equivalent to GS-11.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a clinical setting providing optometric services.
• Demonstrated professional competence in optometry.

Responsibilities

• Provide independently the full range of clinical optometric diagnosis and treatment for prevalent types of vision dysfunctions.
• Detect and refer patients with ocular disease or ocular manifestations of systemic disease.
