About The Position

The Opportunity: Provides age-appropriate diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and disorders of the visual system, the eyes, and associated structures, including the diagnosis of related systemic conditions to University students. Implements policies and procedures that affect clinic operations and the delivery of patient care. With a long and rich history as a visionary leader in college health and wellbeing, traced back to the 1903 smallpox outbreak, the CHS Medical Clinic, provides a comprehensive range of medical services tailored to the unique needs of college students in collaborative environment of dedicated healthcare providers and staff. Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited college or university of optometry requiring course of study of at least four (4) years and a valid State of Washington Optometrist license, including endorsement to use diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceutical agents.
• A valid Washington State license to practice optometry required at the time of hire including endorsement to use diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceutical agents.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in college health optometry
• Two years of professional experience as an optometrist.
