About The Position
We are hiring an Optometrist (OD) for a well-established private practice in Nassau County, with a very strong reputation, loyal patient base, and consistent referral flow. Our client believes in providing comprehensive care while offering their patients the best in ophthalmic technology and eyewear. This role has a flexible schedule and can be for someone interested in either a part-time (min. 3 days per week) or a full-time role at 5 days per week. The pay rate is between $60-75 per hour depending on experience. There is also a transparent bonus program based on net production and optical conversion. The practice values the synergy between the exam room and the optical suite and rewards Optometrists for helping the practice grow.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree.
- Active New York State optometry license.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Reliable, consistent, easy to communicate with, coachable, and professional.
- Desire to build lasting patient relationships and integrate into a community-based practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive eye exams and vision care services.
- Diagnose and manage a range of ocular conditions.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term patient relationships.
- Collaborate closely with current doctors to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and high standards of care.
