About The Position

DocStar Medical Partners - Job Opportunity, New Listing Facility City & State: Near Bangor, ME Facility Type: Outpatient FQHC Provider Profession Needed: OD Specialty: Optometry Start Date: 9/2/2025 End Date: 3/13/2026 Length of Assignment: 6 months preferred Credentialing Timeframe: 30 days Work Schedule: 4x10s or 5x8s Patient Volume: 16 PPD Procedures: Bread & butter Optometry- conduct vision exams, diagnose impairments, prescribe glasses, contacts, medications, and therapeutic procedures. Provide pre- and postoperative care. Manage diabetics, cataracts, glaucoma, and broader pathology including potential pituitary adenoma. EMR: Athena License Needed: ME Certifications Needed: DEA, BLS Relevant Experience/Skill Set Needed: Optometry, rural setting Other additional pertinent information: Support staff: 1-2 Optometric Techs (depending on staffing) Clinic has two lanes, OCT, visual field, and iCare—plenty of equipment. Excellent access to ophthalmology; local specialists see urgent cases (e.g., retinal detachment) within 24 hours.
