About The Position

Rural hospital located several hundred miles northwest of Anchorage, AK seeking a full-time, Locum Optometrist. Details are below. Pay: $120.00/hour Housing and flights provided for the Optometrist Locum Optometrist Opportunity: Examine patient's eyes to detect vision problems, diseases, and other abnormal conditions Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses, and may prescribe drugs to treat eye disorders Engage in patient education regarding the care and treatment of eye conditions Optometrist must provide clinical eye care services in accordance to the hospital’s mission, philosophy, policies, and procedures while applying standards of the eye care profession. The Location: Rural, remote town northwest of Anchorage. No state income tax and permanent fund dividend after a full calendar year of Alaska Residency Great fishing, hunting, and wildlife including the ability to go see polar bears and sled dogs. Requirements

Doctor of Optometry
Must have 2 years of experience

Responsibilities
