Summit Health is seeking an outpatient medical optometrist who would like the opportunity to expand a thriving practice within a financially secure, physician-driven, multispecialty setting. Summit Health/Bend Memorial Clinic is seeking a medical-based Optometrist to provide primary eye care to patients in Central Oregon. The candidate would join the ophthalmology department that includes two other optometrists, a comprehensive ophthalmologist and a medical retina specialist. The department is supported by 12 well-trained ophthalmic technicians and is equipped with all the latest technology to diagnose and manage any eye condition, including three Topcon OCTs and a Galilei G6 topographer. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with primary eye care, medical eye care, contact lenses, cataract post-ops, and pediatrics. The candidate must have a strong work ethic, dedication to patient care, and be flexible to accommodate same day add-ons. The position would start at 2.5 days/week with the opportunity for more days as our clinic expands. After an initial ramp up period, the candidate would be expected to see between 25-30 patients per day and rotate between our Bend and Redmond locations. Prior experience in a similar setting is desired but not required.
