About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our Portable Optical Program , providing comprehensive eye exams to students across various school districts, directly onsite in schools. You will practice at the top of your license in a team-based, integrated care setting.

Requirements

Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree.
ABO Certification or State Licensure.
Strong knowledge of optical theories and practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, practice management, and EHR systems.
Leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

Background in pediatrics or vision therapy.
Experience with optical dispensing.
Previous work in a Federally Qualified Health Center.
Experience providing care in school or portable/mobile clinic settings.
Customer service background.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive eye exams and provide accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
Deliver clear and compassionate communication of results and recommendations to patients, parents, and educators.
Train staff in clinical procedures, HIPAA compliance, coding/billing, and patient flow.
Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Foster positive relationships with patients, families, and school partners.
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
Coach and develop staff to optimize clinic operations in a mobile/portable setting.
