Requirements

  • Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited optometry school.
  • Current Texas Optometry License or eligibility to obtain one before the start date.
  • Clinical expertise in performing comprehensive eye examinations and managing ocular diseases.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and ocular health.
  • Diagnose, manage, and treat a wide variety of eye conditions, including medically complex cases.
  • Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and therapeutic treatments tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Educate patients about eye health, preventive measures, and treatment options.
  • Coordinate referrals for advanced or surgical cases within a strong network of ophthalmologists.
  • Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation to meet practice and regulatory standards.
