About The Position
The position involves ensuring high quality patient care in a doctor's office setting. The role requires maintaining a professional atmosphere and appearance of the office and pretest room, as well as understanding ocular terminology and diseases. The individual will explain preliminary examinations to patients and complete necessary paperwork while performing testing prior to the doctor's examination. Additionally, the role includes promoting visual field testing and retinal screenings to eligible patients, performing exam pre-screening, and reviewing prescriptions or patient information to identify special needs. Collaboration with the optician, doctor, or retail management is essential when necessary, and ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained is a key responsibility.
