Optometric Technician in Training – Where Precision Meets Compassion. As an Optometric Tech in Training, you’ll serve as the doctor’s right hand—conducting pre-tests, gathering vital health information, and ensuring every patient is prepped for an exceptional experience. It’s technical. It’s fast-paced. And it’s meaningful work that makes a lasting impact. We will teach you the skills to be successful in this position. Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-tests and diagnostic procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collect and document patient medical histories and current health information.
  • Communicate effectively with doctors and help manage clinic flow.
  • Maintain clean, functional equipment for a seamless patient experience.
  • Assist with insurance verification, eligibility checks, and benefit authorizations.
  • Stay current with training and actively work to grow your skills.

  • At 30 Days: Eligibility to complete Tavel Technician Certification → $1.50/hour raise
  • Bilingual Pay Eligibility: fluency in another language, increase to base pay below:
  • Spanish, ASL, or French Creole → +$0.50/hour & Burmese → +$1.00/hour
