About The Position

The Optometric Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the optometry practice by maintaining patient records, assisting with preliminary testing, and facilitating communication between patients and the optometrist. This position is essential for ensuring a smooth patient experience and operational efficiency within the store's exam lane.

Requirements

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducting preliminary testing.
• Introduce patients to the optometrist and provide important patient information.
• Transition patients from the doctor to the sales floor and provide associates with necessary information to educate and recommend products and services.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals, including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones.
