About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. In this role, you will be monitoring the cement manufacturing process from the centralized operations center and analyzing the equipment status, process parameters, and alarms to ensure the plant operates within specified parameters. You will identify and troubleshoot process and equipment issues in a timely manner and collaborate with plant and HROC teams to resolve problems to minimize downtime and production losses. Additionally, you will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of process parameters, equipment readings, and operational activities as required to assist in the analysis of operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Ensuring safe and continuous operation, product quality, and compliance with environmental requirements in coordination with plant personnel and other HROC staff is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree, preferably in Chemical, Industrial or Manufacturing.
  • Technical certifications or vocational training in process operations or a related field may substitute for a degree.
  • Previous experience in a similar industrial environment is desirable, but not required due to the comprehensive training program.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production personnel.
  • Ability to travel in both the United States and Canada as required.
