About The Position
The Optician fits patients with eyeglasses in the optical shop. This role involves administering, analyzing, and interpreting prescriptions written by ophthalmologists or optometrists. Key tasks include taking eye measurements to ensure proper lens placement in eyeglass frames and verifying the accuracy of the finished product. The Optician may also be responsible for manufacturing lenses from raw materials, fitting them to frames, and guiding patients in selecting the best eyeglasses to meet their needs. Additionally, the position handles inventory control, assists with insurance reimbursement, and ensures compliance with regulatory and billing procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- Board Certification Required

Responsibilities
