About The Position

PDS Optical is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that manufactures a large number of eyeglasses daily. They operate optical laboratories in Louisville, KY, and Fort Lauderdale, FL, and manage numerous optical stores across the US and Puerto Rico. This role is crucial for continuing their mission of providing high-quality eyewear and exceptional service to Veterans.

Requirements

• ABO Certification is not required but must be obtained within the first six months for employment. Exam preparation and reimbursement are provided by PDS Optical.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Skilled in fitting, adjusting, repairing, and selling eyewear
• Proficient with manual lensometers, pupilometers, and computer systems
• Dependable, self-motivated, and customer-focused

• Familiarity with VA optical benefits and discounts is a plus
