About The Position

Rapid City Medical Center is seeking a full-time Optician to join our beautiful Eyewear Studio located at the Tower Road clinic! Qualified candidates will have excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills and be able to work in a team environment. Experience preferred, but willing to train. Responsibilities

  • Orders new/replacement frames and lenses based on prescription.
  • Frame repairs and adjustments.
  • Maintains, cleans and polishes frames and lenses.
  • Instructs patients about contact lenses including how to handle, clean, insert and remove.
  • Handles patient questions via phone and in person.
  • Uses and maintains equipment and supplies appropriately.
  • Follows HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
