About The Position

Are you a motivated, experienced Optician looking to join a thriving, patient-focused practice? This private optometry office has been serving the Bay Area for over 50 years and continues to grow! They are seeking a full-time Optician with a proven track record in optical sales to join their outstanding team in San Jose, CA. Job Description: Provide exceptional customer service and eyewear sales support to patients in a fast-paced, multi-doctor practice Accurately quote and process VSP and Eyemed insurance (VSP and Eyemed experience is a must) Guide patients through frame and lens selection, offering expert recommendations based on their needs and preferences Ensure precise fitting and adjustments of eyewear Maintain organized records and assist with inventory management Collaborate with doctors and staff to deliver a seamless patient experience Schedule: Full-time, 4 days per week, alternating schedule for weekend coverage Office Hours: Mon-Fri 10 am–7 pm, Sat 9 am–7 pm, Sun 11 am–6 pm Compensation: $20–$35 per hour, depending on experience, plus commissions Benefits: Medical Insurance 401(k) If youre ready to take the next step in your optical career with a respected practice that values its team, apply today! Requirements

A detail-oriented professional with relevant eye care experience (licensure not required).
Strong knowledge of VSP and Eyemed insurance quoting and processing
