Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Develop hardware and software necessary for data collection from multiple sources (camera video, encoders, thermistors, accelerometers, etc.). Perform comprehensive testing of new products to verify performance at system and sub-system levels. This may include collection and post-processing of sensor imagery as well as lens-only measurements of wavefront error, boresight stability, and focus shift. Support mechanical, optical, and software design engineers in applying design-for-manufacturing practices early in the development cycle. Fully document and over-see test station maintenance and calibration activities Job Qualifications: BS in Optical Engineering or related technical field 5+ years of work experience with direct exposure to optical testing and image processing. Ability to write code for data collection and processing (Python, Matlab, and C preferred) Experience with basic electronics and diagnostic tools (DMMs, O-Scopes) Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to support multiple projects and competing priorities Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
